2025 is shaping up to be a great year for saving bilbies. We are in a much stronger position now that our vital costs are covered by your generosity. That means my team and I can focus on growing that all-important bilby population.
These funds will go a long way to ensuring our bilby doesn’t go down the heartbreaking path to extinction. Hundreds of native Australian species have already been lost forever for our future generations and we’re working as hard as we can to ensure we don’t lose the bilby too.
We are on-track to achieve our goal of having 10,000 bilbies across Australia, as an insurance population to last another hundred years (at least!)
Your generous donations will help cover bilby saving costs like bilby feed, vehicle expenses, utility bills, and the cost of keeping our captive bilbies safe and secure.
Year after year, our bilby-loving community comes up trumps and amazes me with the generosity and dedication on show.

Take Maxwell, for example. Max is determined to ensure the bilby survives for generations to come, and each year he makes a 17-hour (!!!) overnight train journey from Brisbane to hand-deliver his Giving Day cheque donation at the Charleville Bilby Experience. Talk about digging deep!
